“Because of my passion for Spain, I moved to Alicante in 2003. Spain is a fantastic country; I really enjoy the nice weather and the different lifestyle. How wonderful is it to feel the sun, taste the lovely wine, the different food and enjoy the music, dance, people and Spanish culture…
However, what took me some getting used to, is the Spanish way of working and the ‘tramites’. Procedures are confusing, take a long time and sometimes really drive you mad. When you buy or sell a property, there is no escaping, you will have to deal with the system.
To avoid that the Spanish procedures would get the better of me, I made them my job. I learned Spanish and I studied the Spanish law and regulation regarding property. Since then I assist people from different nationalities when buying or selling a house in Spain. Over the years I have been involved in more than 300 property changeovers.”
